NBI Strengthens Its Ethical and Sustainability Standards with Successful SMETA 4-Pillar Audit
NBI NEWS
NBI is pleased to announce the successful completion of its SMETA 4-Pillar Audit, an important verification of our commitment to responsible manufacturing and continuous improvement across our operations. This assessment, recognised globally as a leading standard for ethical and sustainable supply chains, reviewed our practices across labour, health and safety, environmental management, and business ethics.
For NBI, the audit is more than a compliance exercise. It reflects the values that guide how we design, manufacture, and deliver our range of specialised ropes, braids, and cords. Our operations rely on skilled people, rigorous processes, and accountable systems. Strengthening these foundations ensures that our customers – from industry to resellers – can rely on a partner that places integrity at the centre of every decision.
The audit also confirms the effectiveness of our efforts to build a safe and supportive workplace, reduce environmental impacts, and operate with transparency. These commitments are essential as NBI continues to expand its manufacturing capabilities and contribute to the broader industrial landscape in South Africa.
Thank you to all the NBI colleagues who contributed to this achievement.
