At NBI Specialised, our Leisure Marine Rope collection is engineered to meet the highest demands of yachting, boating, and watersport applications. Designed for performance, safety, and longevity, each rope in our range is built using advanced materials and precision manufacturing to deliver the ideal balance of strength, handling ease, and resistance to harsh marine environments.
Trusted in Every Marine Scenario
From dinghies, superyachts, to high-stakes racing, HMPE marine ropes from NBI Specialised are engineered for confidence, performance, and endurance at sea
HMPE (Ultra-high Molecular Weight Polyethylene) rope is the modern solution for demanding marine environments where strength, weight, and reliability are critical. Used across both leisure and commercial sectors, HMPE marine ropes offer a performance edge that traditional materials like nylon, polyester or steel wire simply can’t match.
HMPE is pound-for-pound stronger than steel—yet it’s incredibly light and buoyant. This makes it ideal for high-performance boat rope applications like towing, mooring, and winching.
Unlike traditional synthetic ropes, HMPE has ultra-low elongation. This ensures better control, responsiveness, and safety in rigging and sail handling operations.
Designed to withstand chafing and wear, HMPE ropes are often used in offshore marine environments and heavy-duty deck applications where long-term durability is essential.
HMPE rope will not rust or degrade in saltwater, making it perfect for marine ropes for boats, yachts, and dockside operations. It also resists chemicals, oils, and UV damage for added longevity.
Despite its strength, HMPE is soft, easy to handle, and simple to splice—making it a preferred choice for guard rails, safety lines, and even replacing steel wire onboard.
When combined with a protective sheath or reflective thread (as in our Reflecta series), HMPE ropes offer increased visibility in low-light conditions, improving both safety and aesthetics on your vessel.
Blending the high tensile strength of HMPE with the protective durability of a polyester sheath, our Ultra Marine Rope excels in both performance and longevity.
